Paasvakantie at the Domein

Spring has arrived, even here in Belgium, and we couldn’t feel happier!

We had an eventfull and sunny Easter weekend in and out of De Hoge Rielen, starting with a tour of Antwerp, which we are becoming regulars at. An afternoon filled with music hearing on the streets, food eating at a Greek restaurant and sun bathing in the park.

To follow up our weekend, we took a time travel and went back to the 50’s at Rockin’ Around Turnhout. Great music, bright clothing and amazing antique cars to see.

During the Easter Holidays (Paasvakantie) we have had the opportunity to take part in a workshop that revolves around rabbits, wearing ears and painting whiskers for the smaller children. They’ve seemed to enjoyed it a lot, so have we!

There is no Easter here in Belgium without the appearance of the Easter bunny, who comes packed with delicious chocolate eggs, and hides them for children to find. Now that’s our kind of holiday: chocolate filled! The small bunnies around De Hoge Rielen even came out to play this week as we’ve seem them hopping around, but without any chocolate eggs!

We’re excited to see what the next weeks here at the Domein will bring us, for the moment you can find us enjoying our weekends on the new outdoor pic-nic table we got thanks to the Techniek Dienst!

Until next time,

Nicole & Paula.
